They work well depending on the personI give this 4 stars because it works incredibly well for my boyfriend, he took 4 pills before bed and went later on in the day. He did that for a week and then reduced it to 2 pills every night and they work. Now me on the other hand... I took this for two days and nothing happened. But I am a person with chronic constipation and I have candida (yeast overgrowth). I can drink as much water as i want to and my bowels won't budge. So, if you are a person like me, these pills may not work for you. 4Recommend by my doctor at the Mayo ClinicThis stuff smells like you're about to swallow a mix of dirt, grass and peppermint leaves but before you say, wait...that doesn't sound appealing let me tell you, it's really not that bad once it's in your mouth and you swallow it with a large amount of water.My GI doc at the Mayo Clinic recommend these due to my gut engaging in partial paralysis (not something I'd recommend you to experience. It's miserable.) And since I started using them my abdominal pain had greatly reduced.If you are looking for a comfortable way to help your digestive tract to work with you but want to skip the unpleasant aspect of pain these are your new friend.As always, check with your doc first and take it slow, too many tabs at once can make your gut extra active. 5As far as laxatives go, 10/10I have IBS and stress causes my digestive system to go really out of whack. I really like this laxative, it's very gentle and doesn't cause any long term effects. For the most part, I feel it's effects once and only once as opposed to needing to spend the rest of the day in close prolixity to a toilet. 5Brilliant product with no awful side effects, the best Laxative Ive ever usedas a woman with all kinds of problems going through menopause and hormone treatment these are a godsend and work perfectly unlike many other things I tried. I would take them the night before and they worked in a normal way the very next day. They didnt upset my stomach or make me feel uncomfortable. After I changed my hormone treatment from a patch that kept falling off to Divigel cream I mg and I Effexor tablet per day I no longer needed these. Seems menopause causes problems for women but so do the wrong hormone treatments. This was and is a great product 5Fantastic ProductI've never had to use a product like this before, but after going on a high protein, low carb diet, things really slowed down. We used to buy it in herbal flake form. This is more convenient and is very effective. 5It takes some experimenting....Everyone's bowels are different. I've suffered from chronic constipation since I was about 7 years old (I am now 32). I've tried everything. Ironically my supervisor (yes we tend to overshare) recommended this to me. I tried it for a couple of days and NOTHING. I was perplexed by the amount of positive reviews so I knew there had to be some truth behind it. So I tried switching up the dosage, increasing the quantities and trying it at different times of the day. STILL little to no results. FINALLY, one day I had an epiphany.. CRUSH THEM UP IN YOUR COFFEE. For several weeks now I've crushed 3 pills up in about 8 ounces of my morning coffee and within 4 hours or so I am having a regular bowel movement. Then about 2 hours after the initial bowel movement my body is flushing out the remaining waste. No crazy cramping, no running to the bathroom to avoid an accident, just a day of nice normal bowel movements. So with that I say don't give up. Just play around with it a little until you find what works for you.
