Good product - handwashes wellGood product - handwashes well, line dry. Spouse loves it. Helps with contractures in his hand!! Thanks for being available on Amazon. Waited for months with home health - finally just purchased myself after therapist showed me what I needed. 5Not WashableMy Mom lives in a nursing home, and her hand was contracting into a fist. I bought 3 different items to hold her fingers open, trying to find one that was comfortable for her. This was the one I liked best - until she spilled food on it and it went to the laundry. It came back unrecognizable; no fleece left and impossible to use. 1Perfect!My Mom's hand has been contracted for about a year with the nails cutting into her palm. Because her hand is so contracted, it is really difficult to open it at all. This was perfect for her. It doesn't force her hand open beyond what she can bear and it allows her hand to breathe. I will purchase a few more to have on hand for her. 5Soft and adjustableI used this for my dad's hands. He had a stroke so this helps him open up his palms. The inner cushions are very soft and the finger straps are adjustable. I got both right and left palm protectors. 5Great for stroke victimsI picked these up on the recommendation of a nurse. My Grandma had a stroke years ago and her left fingers close completely without something in her hand. This is very soft & cushiony. I trimmed the velcro so it wouldn't be so long & she wears it night & day. 5Just what I was looking forI had gotten one of theses from an occupational therapist over a year ago. It had gotten pretty ratty. I was having trouble finding a replacement. This is perfect-- perfect fit, soft and keeps myfingers out of my palm. Good buy.Will probably order more. 5Ineffective for protecting palmI use this palm protector due to spasticity ion my left side and my fingers clenching at night on that side. It is soft, easy to use, and comfortable. However, it is not well-designed to control finger spasticity. I frequently wake with my fingers having slipped over and off the palm ridge that is supposed to prevent this. I am unable to make any adjustments that stop this problem. I don't know if different-sized hands would have similar difficulty. My hands are medium-sized. 2Well Worth It!I absolutely love this. I was kind of hesitant because I was unsure of the quality. That concern was put to rest! This is well made. The material is soft. I handwash then air dry. I most definitely recommend. 5It is softThis does the job! My mother's hands are clamping. She has Parkinson's and her hands are tightening up. One side is contracted beyond stretching out again. The other is on it's way to doing the same. At night we put on this finger separator and it is doing the job! She is ready to get rid of it by morning but her hand is staying strong all day. It is worth it. I like that the pinkie is able to have the Velcro tightened up. 4Great for What It Says It's for.Not a hand splint for absolutely preventing contractures but a most comfortable night splint and most excellent palm protector. 5
