Customer Reviews

um, noTotal and complete joke of a product. The "padding" is like 1/1000th of a millimeter thick. Even if the padding wasn't worthless, the toe sleeves are really really tight. And I have tiny feet, so I can guarantee that YOUR toes will be gettin a serious squeeze. Your money would be better spent buying $15 worth of lotto tickets. Sincerely, someone who thinks lotto is a waste of money1Good idea, bad design.Works ok but is too tight. It keeps pushing it's way off my foot and hurts in between my toes. It has already came apart after using it for one week.3I did have to modify the shape of the gel pad a little to better match my footThis pad works ok for the advertised purpose. I purchased this pad in conjunction with some Dr Jill's gel pads. Both work about the same with regard to cushioning, but I find that I prefer the gel pads, because they stick well and don't wrap around my foot. I did have to modify the shape of the gel pad a little to better match my foot.4No ReliefMy daughter bruised her foot so we decided to give these relief pads a try. They did absolutely nothing to help. They didn't even stay on her foot (which is a women's size 10) and we ordered the small size.I am a longtime member of Amazon and myself rely heavily on reviews provided by others when making a decision as to whether or not to purchase an item--whether that purchase be one that I am making through Amazon or another source (such as a local store); therefore, I am very aware of the value of user feedback and do my best to assist others in making a quality decision by providing quality feedback. Was this review helpful to you? If so, I would very much appreciate it if you would rate this review accordingly. Many thanks!1High Arches: Sesamoid Relief Sleeve vs Dr Jills Double Thick Gel Dancer PadI hurt my foot a while back, Dr. said it was something similar to turf toe. I was in a cast to keep my weight off foot and prevent toe from moving in order for it to heal. It got better but when I went back to normal shoes, it started getting worse again. The Dr. had given me a sesamoid relief sleeve similar to this but a bit thicker. It helped a little but I lost it (It probably went to that place where missing socks go) so I was looking for a replacement.I purchased this product and Dr. Jills Double Thick Gel Dancer Pads for Left Foot *2 Pack*. While I was very satisfied with the quality of construction, I found this sleeve to be thinner than the ones the Dr gave me and didn't provide enough support. I do have really, really high arches, though. I guess I put extra pressure on the balls of my foot and these did nothing for me.The Dancer pads, however, were great. I left my raving review of them on the product page. They are not a sleeve but a gel pad that does a pretty good job of gripping your foot and staying in place. They are also easy to clean and reuse right away vs having to wash and dry the sleeve. They are the only ones that provided adequate support for my extremely arched feet, much better than even what the Dr gave me. After wearing these a few weeks, my pain has started subsiding. The best part of the pads vs the sleeve, for me, is that since they are so small and (without a sleeve) inconspicuous, I can wear them with my strappy shoes without announcing to the world my foot issues and you can shift them around exactly where you need them where the sleeve is kind of a little limited. I've noticed that when I wear flat shoes the weight distribution is a little different than when I wear heels. I wear the pad a little further up, closer to the toes with heels and wear it a little closer and twisted so that it also gives a little support just below the ball of foot below toe area (where the arch starts) which gives a little support from the center of the foot when I wear flats. If you have high arches, the pads are probably your best bet.3Great concept but the foam padding only lasted a couple ...Great concept but the foam padding only lasted a couple of days. I didn't even wear it while working out. I definitely felt better with it on. I've taken an old insole and cut it to the same shape and I now insert it under the sleeve. In my opinion, you're basically paying for a sleeve that will need to have padding added to within a short period of time.3Perfect product for any sesamoid pain!!!I am a dancer and I had a sesamoid fracture and then sesamoiditis. This pad was the only thing that helped, after being stuck in a boot and after several other treatments. It can be put into any shoe and provides the perfect relief. I have bought 6 already! They do wear down everntually, but I'm harder on my feet than most! This is perfect for what you need if you have any sesamoiditis problems!5This is the third or fourth product I've tried in the past month to relieve sesamoid pain and I think the best one I've used soI bought the large size first since I have a D width foot but it was way too large and kept slipping (I wear a womens size 9-1/2). I then purchased the small size and it slipped a lot less but it slowly moved up toward the top of my foot while wearing it around the house with my flip flops so I eventually took it off. This is the third or fourth product I've tried in the past month to relieve sesamoid pain and I think the best one I've used so far are the 1/8" thick felt pads that you stick to the bottom of your foot before putting on your socks and shoes. I also like the 1/8" thick purple pad but time will tell if it stays sticky enough to stay in place all day.3Seems to be working really well!I have sesamoiditis in my left foot, and also the start of a big toe bunion there. The podiatrist says that the combination of high arches and very flexible feet causes this if I wear a heel of any height. My feet seem to be loosely put together, with a lot of free-play between the toe bones. The pain started when I did some dance numbers in low heels in a Follies production, and wasn't getting better afterwards. I've been wearing very supportive flat shoes with non-customized arch supports (Sole brand), and was not getting much relief, plus if I walked on the treadmill, it got worse. Yesterday I tried this Pediflex product. It feels weird at first, but after a couple of hours, I forgot it was there. I was worried that it would restrict circulation and give me a cold foot, but that didn't happen. Took it off at bedtime, and this morning there is no pain in my foot. I'll wear it during the days now and see if I can resume walking on the treadmill. My foot is a women's size 9 regular (once in a while a size 8 1/2 fits) and the "small" size of this product is snug but not uncomfortable. The pad is thin, but seems to be doing the trick! If it wears down too much, I will take out the stitching on the pad pocket and improvise something new to replace the pad, as has been mentioned in another review. It feels like the band around my foot is holding things more tightly together, which may help the bunion from getting worse. I don't have sesamoiditis in my right foot, but there is a small bunion, and I might get one of these sleeves for that foot too. If you've got pain under the ball of the foot or a big toe bunion, you might want to try these. Cheaper than the Sole insoles, cortisone shots, or surgery, and non-invasive.5Helped husbands foot painMy husband was complaining of pain in the ball of his foot right beneath his big toe. I ordered this product for him to try and he said it made all the difference for him. The only time he complains about it now is if he forgets to wear the sleeve. Good quality, and easy to keep clean, just wash out in the sink and allow to air dry.5
