We make our Dried Active Yeast to give lift to your hand-baked bread. Reactivate it by adding water and you've got the perfect ingredient for traditional baking. Not recommended for use in bread makers. - Prepare and Use: Directions: - In a 600ml (1 pint) jug, dissolve 5ml (1 tsp) of sugar in 150ml (1/4 pint) of warm water (1 part boiling, 2 parts cold). - Sprinkle with 15g (1 level tbsp) of yeast and whisk thoroughly. - Leave in a warm place until the surface is covered with approx. 2cm of froth (10-15 mins). - Whisk again and use as directed in your recipe. Notes: You'll need to reactivate this yeast in water before you can use it. We make it for hand baking, so if you're using a bread maker try our Easy Bake Yeast instead. 650g of flour usually requires 15g or one level tablespoon of Dried Active Yeast.
