Fantastic!I initially bought this gel pack because I'd sprained my low back (again) and needed a large pack. I love that it retains its flexibility even at maximum coldness. The outer skin is nice and thick--important because my last gel pack sprung a leak. My son likes to use it to keep himself cool at night (he's a hot sleeper). But what I've been using it for most lately is to keep my laptop cool when I'm playing Minecraft with my son. At max load, the internal thermometer can hit 80 degrees Celcius; the gel pack knocks the running temp down to around 60 C. Bonus!5GREAT TO HAVE 1-2 FROZEN ALL THE TIME - WONDERFUL FOR AN ACHING BACK!I have serious mid and lower back problems. I have two of these frozen at all times. When I have serious pain in my back or after I get back from physical therapy, I stick one of these on and it is very cold and will STAY cold (assuming your freezer will go to -10F or so) for the 20 minutes I keep it on, and for a long time thereafter. Well made and very reasonably priced!5Best ice packs around - take it from trial and error experience!Personally, I don't think there's a better deal or product available. Had both hips replaced and needed ice bags all the time for quite some time. Whatever the substance is in these, they hold coldness much better than others on the market . . . when you're at the mercy of relief from pain, don't mess around searching and experimenting with other brands, get one or two of these (nice sized I might add) and give yourself some relief. Chiropractor prescribed me one years back and after years of laying on it for back issues it finally gave way at the seam. It stays cold super long and can get really hot too for alternating temperature therapy. The inside material is super plyable and can mold around any body part with ease. The size is great too, can span across your entire lower back without having to shift and adjust. Buy this pack, you won t regret it.5This is a nice sizeWith 3 adults with back problems living in one house this ice pack gets used almost daily. It is a perfect size as it is a little larger than the ice packs I get from my chiropractor. It also seems to get a little colder and frostier and stays cold longer. I plan on getting a couple more just for backup.5Stays cold a long time!After finding out that gel cool packs are a great way to stay cool during a hot night, I was really disappointed when the Caldera packs I'd bought at the old Longs Drugs began to leak one, by one. I've tried some other buying other brands and the even newer versions of the Caldera packs but they were thinner, had stiffer covers (and sharp corners!) and didn't stay cold nearly as long. I recently bought this one and will definitely go back for another size. This one is actually larger than I needed, but it stays cold for hours and hours and is helping me through the warmer nights. If you're menopausal, in a hot climate, or just sleep "hot," having one of these babies touching your head during the night will make a world of difference in the quality of your sleep.4not that good of a designNot that good of a design. I purchased this to use on my knee so it wud cover the kneecap and the sides. But, if u use this on a limb, or anywhere that isn't flat (like your back) the contents will gravitate to the lowest point. In other words, if u put it on ur knee for example, it will droop over and all the cold will be on the sides of your knee the part that touches the kneecap will have no coolant. if u want to use it on a flat area, like ur chest, back, etc. the it wud work fine. they should have made pockets, like a quilt, for example, to keep the contents from pooling at the lowest points. Then it cud be used anywhere.3Best ice pack ever!! Long lasting.These are the best ice packs ever! I received one several years ago at my chiropractor and still use it today. I then purchased this bigger version recently. I ve had two lower back surgeries and require ice around the clock. This ice pack last for several hours at one time. I do suggest placing a cover or pillow case to keep from frostbite.5The best ice pack I ownI have severe nerve pain and I have spent every day for the past four months on ice packs for several hours each a day. I have purchased many different brands and sizes of ice packs from amazon and Walgreens and consider myself to be an unfortunate product expert at this point. Perhaps because the outer material is not as thick as other ice packs or perhaps the gel material is better and/or there is more gel in the pack , whatever the reason, this icepack gets the coldest and stays cold for the longest period of time. It is also very flexible so it feels more comfortable than other ice packs which can be too firm and painful/uncomfortable to lay on when using for one's back. It also appears to get cold faster than some of the others that I have purchased. I am planning to buy two more as this is definitely my go-to ice pack. I have owned this product for just about one month and I use it multiple times a day and lay on it and have not had any leaking or splitting at the seams -- It is holding up just fine. No complaints and only praise for this product thus far.The only ice pack that stays colder longer and lasts longer are those that are made of plastic to be used in coolers and while i use them in a pinch on my arms or legs, one cannot use them for lower or upper back nerve pains.UPDATE: I have been using these ice packs for almost five months now without a problem - no splitting or leaking whatsoever. I own three of the 9x12 size and one of the even larger size. I use them multiple times a day which is why i have so many -- I have several ice packs to be sure that there is always a cold replacement when I need one (sometimes I forget to put a spent ice pack back in the freezer). I am still delighted with this product. While I would rather not have need of these ice packs, I am thrilled to find a product that performs as it should.5You Need ThisI bought my first Comfort Gel Pack a couple of years ago and use it several times a week for my chronic back problems. It has never leaked, and it is often of more value than the medications I take for my progressive neurological disease. Recently a friend suffered a ruptured disk, and I ordered this Comfort Gel Pack for him. He reports that it has helped him a lot. I wouldn't wish back pain on anyone, but if you've got it, you need to have this too.5
